Outdoor Portrait Locations

I’m currently in the process of visiting and documenting these sites.

Albany, Albany Bulb

If you’re willing to take a little hike, The Bulb can be a unique portrait location. There are numerous functional sculptures and artfully decorated objects.

Located next to a high school and swimming pool, this park is convenient for Albany residents. It has some architectural features, playgrounds and some cozy areas. It is suitable for individuals or couples.

Alameda, Alameda Beach

Alameda, Washington Park

Berkeley, Cordonices Park

This location is suitable for small groups or individuals at most times of the day because of the number of trees.

Berkeley, Berkeley Rose Garden

This location can work well for an individual or a couple. Cordonices park, the location right above this one, is across the street.

UC Berkeley, UC Berkeley Campus

Berkeley, Aquatic Park

Emeryville, McLaughlin Eastshore State Park

Fremont, Lake Elizabeth

This is a scenic location with a small lake and a tree lined walkway. There are numerous trees, as the sun sets or rises, lots of shaded areas that make ideal portrait spots. It can be very busy on weekends but there are a lot of parking spaces. See portrait samples and location shots here:
