Portraits done on city streets can provide for the aesthetically pleasing incorporation of a wide array of colors, textures, and lighting options

The mosaic of colors provided by signs, cars, trees, flowers, murals and graffiti can enrich and complement a portrait when strategically used

Black asphalt roads, rough sidewalks, wood, brick and concrete walls, and the reflections in glass windows and walls can be pleasant backdrops when carefully incorporated into a portrait.

A boy sits on a sidewalk during as the sun sets in the distance.

Lighting opportunities provided by artificial lights, building shadows and geometrically divided light sources can add  significant sources of interest when making a portrait.

I’m always up for the challenge to taking a portrait in a unique location in the city. I have a portable changing tent that I can pop up wherever needed.
